Update..?

I'm the worst blog keeper!

So Lately I've been doing a lot of vinyl toy customs... here are a few!

This guy with the box was for a trade with a bunch of artists over on the Kidrobot forums. It was a lot of fun! I got a very cool custom out of it.

These last two are sketches from last night for a large-ish painting I'm doing for a batman contest at my local comic shop :D these are super rough and mostly for reference.

So, there are a lot of cool things that I am doing for work that I can't post... :<  but we instituted a sketch a week thing at work.. so maybe I'll actually start updating regularly!

Thesis!!

So we have finally released our senior thesis film online! :D
I co-created this film with fellow Ringling students Lindsey St. Pierre and Ashley Graham.
:)

The film was created around the concept of the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. It's a holiday that is often misunderstood in American culture. The holiday is about celebrating the lives of lost love ones, instead of mourning them. Which happens to be the message our little Nina needs to learn :)

From preproduction and storyboards to final rendering, the film took a little less than a year and a half to create. We used Autodesk Maya, Pixar's Renderman, Nuke, and Photoshop, mainly.

Our wonderful musical score was created by Corey Wallace, and our great sound effects by Mauricio D'Orey.
We were only able to hire such talented professionals because of the wonderful contributions made to our Kickstarter fund. So thank you everyone who helped!!
